MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
CAR OVER A RANK. SEVERAL PERSONS INJURED. ROTORUA, Friday. While a native named Kira, with nine passengers, was driving to Roloiti, his car left the road near the 13-mile peg, owing to the steering gear failing. The car went down n bank and turneJ over three times. Three of the occupants were, severely injured. The driver sustained a severe wound on the head. Mrs. Norris, of South Africa, had one leg broken, and Miss Norris w thought to be suffering from internal injuries. The other occupants of the car were very j much bruised and shaken. ! Eight of those in the car which overi turned were a party which left Auckland I last Tuesday for a week's tour of t c Hot. Lakes and Taupo districts. It- consisted of Mr. and Mrs. fbarles Williamson, of Devonport; Mr. and Mrs. FranK ! Quick, of Takapuna; and Mr. and Mrs. !F. Xorris, of South Africa, and their t* o I daughters. Mr. Xorris. who is an o d Auckland boy, is on a holiday visit with j his wife and daughters to his native j land. i MOTOR CYCLISTS COLLIDE. NAPIER. Friday. A collision between a motor cycle and J a similar machine with a side car I attached occurred in Hastings Street to-night. Mr. Sidney Moore, the rider of the solo cycle, had both bones of hia I left leg broken nnd his face and head cut and bruised. Mr. Roily Lucas, the rider of the other machine, sustained : concussion of the brain. Both are in the hospital. Mrs. Blair and child, who, ■ were in the side car, were thrown clear receiving minor injuries. t _i
