NAVY'S LATEST AID.
I NEW TYPE OF FLYING BOAT. CAN KEEP AT SEA FOR MONTHS. LOXDOX, March 4. Flying ships, embodying a new type of aeroplane, are being built to the order of the Government. The chief feature is a long, light, slender hull, capable of riding the waves, carrying riding lights, anchors, and foghorns. The craft are oapahle of accompanying the fleet to sea for months, and do not reqxiire a mother Bhip. A huge life-saving parachute has been patented. It is desi-med to lift fron» a disabled aeroplane the cabin and its entire complement of passengers. It is workable a. few feet from the ground, and is operated by the pilot.—(Times.) ;
