MAHENO ARRIVES.

WITH 250 PASSENGERS. FEW IMMIGRANTS AMONG NUMBER. About 250 passeneers arrived from Sydney by the Maheno this morning. Aniong the ew arrivals were a few immigrants who have been awaiting passages at Sydney. These were met by representatives of the Salvation Army's immigration bureau, who aesi-ted them in obtaining accommodation in tne c:ty. From accounts of a number of the passengers the congestion at Sydney caused by the stewards' strike is considerably relieved by the m6re regular steamer service which i≤ now bein? maintained. The Maheno left Sydney on Mondiy afternoon and experienced fine weather throughout the journey. She is followed by the Makura, which U due to arrive with passengers on Monday. The Xagara will also be resuming the running again, her departure from Sydney for Auckland being announced for a d te early in April.
