RECORD OF A BUSY TEAR.

Tlie j annual report circulated at the meeting, indicated that thfs attrrrdsnee was representative of 33fl solicitors and 133 barristers practising in the Auck'and Province, the number having been swelled during the year by the admission of lf>j barristers and 4<> solicitors. The report' chronicled a particularly busy year. marked 'by two jreneral meeting and 13; council meeting, action having be-n' taken to make representations regards? the dangerous congestion of work at the Auckland Deeds and Land Transfer Offices and at the Supreme Court, and regarding the necessity for increasing the Supreme Court accommodation. Borne improvement had result el in Deeds offices where increased accommodation was now being provided. The suggested purchase of a vacant site ad-; joining the Supreme Court building for] an extension of the building was still | under consideration by the Justice Department. Tliere was reason for hope that the congestion of work at the. Supreme Court would be overtaken by means of two judges taking up their residence in Auckland. MoVeag'h. j An accident occurred this morning in Dominion Road. Mrs. 0. Donnovan. aged (15 years, whose daughter resides at New l_,ynn, had the misfortune to be knocked down by a horse that had bolted. Besides being shaken she was injured on her right leg, and her left [wrist was factored.
