In which Cllen, received injuries which necessitated his destruction, caused more regret among the general public than the killing of half a dozen other horses would have done. Champion after champion has win at Wanganui. and been deservedly cheered, but to the majority of the Wnntrantrdtes. ''Ilcnt was the idol, and the cheer that greeted the son of Elevation as he painfully limped back to the paddock with a broken fetlock showed the feelings of the crowd toward their favourite. -Client was by Elevation from Bonheur. both bred at Sylvia Park by the Messrs. Nabban. and was bred b} Mr. T. A. Duncan at Huntervllle. Hlr principal successes were gained in The colours of Mr. W. Duncan, who held him under lease from his brother, and who w-on the Wanganul Cup two years ln succession and the Wanganul Stakes in 1918 and again last year. He also won the .Hawkeß Bay Cup and Marton Cup. 'besides many other races, and thin year was successful for Mr. T. A. Duncan In The Manawatu Cup.
