AVairarapa batted first and made Sl, Moore carrying his bat for 22. Australia opened well, reaching the century in 55 minutes and the second century in an hour. A rot then set in, and the last live wickets fell for CO runs, the innings yielding 253. The chief scorers were:—Liddicutt 61, Kippax fWS. 'Bogle 48, and Lampard 116.
