FIRE ON THE MOA.

•By Telegraph Press Association! TAURAXGA, this day. It was reported here this morning that the scow Mon caught fire while lying at Whakamaratna wharf in Tauranga liar hour on .Monday night. The fire was discovered in the fore part at seven o'clock, and was not got under till midnight. 'Pile damage was confined to the interior of the fore-part, the hull being undamaged. Temporary repairs will be effected here, and she will then be towed to Auckland. The Moa carries timber from here to Auckland, and is owned by Ley land and O'Brien.
