ARBITRATION COURT DELAYS.

Sir, —The arbitration judge awards 9/ per week bonus, which is afterwards reduced to 3/, but to add insult to injury, j us an application has to be made to the | Arbitration Court, it will be pome time j in May before the question is settled for j the Auckland workers. 1 am a liftman, j married, and a discharged soldier. My ; wages are £3 5/ per week, and in these times it is a struggle to live. So you sec | what these few extra shiUi %,a mean to ; us. It is trusted now that Mr. Fraser lias been appointed, thing* may be speeded up in the Auckland I rbitration Court. The delay is a sorioue matter to) the small wage-earner, and th» cause ol | half the discontent is no doubt due to these methods.—l am, etc., UP AND DOWN.
