WASTE OF PAPER.

GOVERNMENT PRINTING. LONDON. January 20. Remarkable evidence is disclosed in the Parliamentary Committee's report on expenditure for official printing. The Controller of the Stationery Oflice stated that shoals of matter were scrapped, and seven tons of food leaflets were discarded. The committee pointed out that the stationery account was now £5,750,000 annually, as compared with £1,254),000 before the war. It recommends an inquiry into the policy of maintaining a Government printing establishment on a large scale.
