WAGES FOLLOW PRICES

The National Wool Textile Industrial Council of Bradford has decided that women's wages shall be. redueefi by half si-crown and men's by three and vxpence per week under the sliding scale due to descending cost of living. Twelve thousand fishermen will be involved in a strike which is to start on Monday, and will affect the principal fishing ports cf England and Scotland. The trouble is the culmination of a three months' dispute at Grimsby between trawler ownere and men over the owners' proposal to reduce waijee by 40 per cent. (A. and S.Z. Cable.) WASTE OF STRIKES. Statistics compiled by the "Manchester Gxiardian" rrveal thni during six months last year nearly 115,000,000 days were lost through strikes in the principal countries of the world, and 0.000,000 perrons were affected.
