ALTERATION OF DATES. (By Telegrapn.—Press Association.* DUNEDIN, thie- day. Owing to cancellation of the'UiagarVa trip to Vancouver, as a result of the stewards' strike, it lias been found neces* sary to make some alterations in the time-table of trans-Pacific mail steamers. The Tahiti will leave San Francisco or. January 4 for Wellington, via Honolulu, Papeete and Rarotonga, and will be due at Wellington about January 28. The Marama. proceeds from San TYancisco to Vancouver, leaving the latter port on January 12 for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and 'Sydney, in place of the Niagara. The Makura, due at Auckland about January 6, from Vancouver, proceeds to Sydney, leaving the latter port on January 13, and Auckland on January 28, fox; Vancouver, via ports.
