-Mr. and Mrs. Len Blundell. of Wellington, are staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. J. S. Dickson, M.P., who has been laid up with an injured leg for live weeks, is about again. Sir George Clifford. .Miss Clifford, and Mr. AValter T-. Clifford are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Torrip, of the Shaw, Snvill and Albion Shipping Co., London, is at present in Auckland. Guests at Grand include Mr. and Mrs. R. Grace, of Wansanui. Mr. J. (i. Sinclair, of Dunedin, and Mr. W. R. Kenjball. of Masterton. Visitors at the -Star include Mr. and j Mrs. Keane (Dunedin), Mr. and Mrs.: All am MeOube Wellington), Mr. and, Mrs. Stevenson (Wanganui). Mr. George Walker left for the South on Snnday night to take part in the Wanganui and Dominion 'bowling tour-i naments. I Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M. at Wan- ' ganui, is on a holiday visit to Auckland, and will stay here for the i remainder of the present week. Mr. J. Macdonald, assistant-general ! manager of the New .Zealand railways, is visiting Auckland, accompanied "by Mrs. Macdonald. They are staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. J. ir. Watts, who is acting as manager of the Auckland Cricket team on its Southern tour, left for the South last evening, and will be absent from Auckland for about a fortnight. The Rev. George Budd, superintendent of home missions for the Presbyterian Church in New Zealand, has had to ! cancel his proposed visit to Australia owing to the dislocation of shipping through the stewards' strike.
