THE TOUR SOUTH. The Auckland team to play Canterbury at Christchurch at New Year time, and Wellington the following week, will leave by the express this evening. R. Rountree, the wicketkeeper, is unaible to make the trip, and his place will be taken by W. Garrard, of the University team. H. B. Lusk will play, leaving the team i_ follows: — N. C. Snedden (captain), S. G. Smith.A. Anthony, E. Horspool, L. G. Hemus. R. Garrard, W. Garrard, H. H. I-us-k. C. A. Snedden, R. Coates. and A. Player. A bat has been given to the A.CA. for presentation to the batsman who makes the highest score on the tour.
