Mr. W. J. Ralph left for Wellington to-day to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Coalmine Owners' Association. Bishop Neville, of Dunedin, ha- been elected an honorary Fellow of the Royal Colonial Institute, in recognition of pasinterest and services. Mr. Arthur Hunnibell has been appointed organist and choirmaster at St. Mark's Church, Opawa. The sale of surplus store* at the Drill Hall will be open from 5.30 p.m. till 8.30 p.m. on Friday evening. Mr. Hubert Carter, the Auckland tenor, leaves by to-night's express for the South, where he sings in the forthcoming performances of '•The Messiah" at New Plymouth and, jj,t H^styjgs.' w _
