THE TAKAPUNA FATALITY.

INQUEST ADJOURNED.

An inquest into the circumstances connected with the d«ath of Mr. W. McMath, following on injuries received in a tram accident at Takapuna, -was briefly opened at 'the Morgue yesterday afternoon by Mr. W. R. McKean. S.M.

Dr. Lindsay, of the Public Hospital medical staff, who examined deceased on admission to the public hospital, said that at the time he wae suffering from shock in addition to the wounds already enumerated. He was conscious, and his intellect was acute.

Mr. C. J. Tunks appeared for the relatives. The proceeding's were adjourned to permit of the catting of further evidence.
