Boxing enthusiasts filled the Opera House to-night, and the Manawatu Boxing Association must have been pleased with the large attendance. Holland started full of vim and vigour and fought sturdily up to the fifth round, but the strengih of youthful Cook (twenty-one years) began to tell in the sixth round, and it was quite a weakened and tired Holland (thirty-eight years) when the end came In the seventh. Then Holland stood dazed In token of defeat. In the first round Cook upper cut and missed right and left swin«3, which Holland cleverly ducked and smothered. The second round was mostly In-lighting, and in ■the third round Cook was active in kidney punching, from which Holland suffered. In the fourth Holland got a good right swing to looks ear, and Cook missed a right hook.
