The first llight across Canada under the auspices of the Canadian Air Board, begun at Halifax on October 7, was successfully completed by a relay of 'plajies and pilots, the mails being landed at Vancouver on the 17tli, demonstrating the possibility of a regular service in summer, but "of doubtful practicability in winter owing to delays due to the weather. — (A. and N.Z.
