1917 RAILWAY STRIKE.
SYDNEY, October 15. Evidence wag given before the Railways Commission that 21,592 employees: left work during the great strike in 1017,1 of whom 20,292 were dismissed, but 18,311 wore subsequently re-employed.' The number who remained loyal to the 1 commissioners and continued at work was 19,784.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
