MeLeod. managing director of Radium Polishes; Ltd.. died last Friday week at his residence, Wilton Road, Wadestown, Wellington, after a fairly long illness. Mr. ~R. A. Kcntier (formerly of the staff of the Auckland "JStur")] general secretary of the branch of the V.M.C.A. at Christchurch, h:is pone to Sydney as a delegate to the Australasian V.M.C.A. Convention. _ The Hon. C. J. Parr (Minister of Education) arrived by tbe express This morning from Wellington, accompanied by his private secretary (Mr. F. Matthews). They arc staying at the Grand Hotel, and return to 'Wellington by Uy express to-morrow flight.
