"BRETT'S XMAS ANNUAL."

PUBLICATION OF TKE YEAR. AN ARTISTIC TRIUMPH. All»those who have had the privilege of seeing "Brett's Xmas Annual, 11120," as it passes through the press are enthusiastic about the artistic and literary merit of this premier N.Z. production. The coloured supplement is a faithful reproduction of a magnificent hush, fern, and creek study by the late Kennett Watkins, and the process work and printing throughout a diversified number attain a pitch of excellence that leaves no room for criticism. Unfortunately, owing to delay in delivery of the art paper on which the whole number is printed, the "Annual" will be a few | days late in reaching the public. Round about November 2 it is iioped to have, the issue available at this office and local stationers. It is because the edition is for a variety of reasons limited that this preliminary announcement is made. Book your orders without delay to ensure not being disappointed. The opportunity of | showing your friends abroad what a beautiful country you live in is unique. This, too, will be the first opportunity that soldiers returned after the war will have of demonstrating to friends in Britain that in the enthusiastic praise of their homeland they have every justification. Book early!
