COAL FROM NEWCASTLE.
75,000 TONS FOR RAILWAYS. (By Telegraph.—Prese Aseodatlofi.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. Massey btated t.tiat an officer of the' Railway Department had completed the purchase of 75.000 tons of Australian coal, to which Mr. ttughea had ABBcntcd. Thin was in addition to a smaller quantity previously bought. No difficulty was anticipated in bringing it over. The Railway Department will have ftret claim on the supplies.
