MINING NEWS.
Talisman Consolidated shares sold at the third call yesterday at 6/6. Hill and Plummer, Ltd, were slightly firmer, being wanted at 23/, and inquiry was made for Birkenhead and Worthcote Gas shares at 15/0. Hauraki Mince were wanted at 7/ for paid issue, and 4/ for contributing. Buyers of Golden Belt share* offered lid, but no sellers quoted. TALISMAN. (By Telegraph.-Own Oorreepoadent.) KARANGAHAKE, this day. The following cable has been sent to London:—"No. Iβ level, couth. drive, progress 40 feet, width 39 inches. No valuee."
