COALITION'S WIN. • (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 8. At the by-election for the vacancy at Ilford, caused by the death of Sir P. Griggs, the polling resulted: — Wise .(Coalition Unionist) 15 >?*? King (Labour) «>j>, u Thompson (Liberal) °> oli > Coalition majority 9,035 — (A. and N.Z. Cable.) At the general election in 1918 the polling was: Sir P. Griggs (Coal. U.) 15,870, Rev. H. Dunnico (Lab.) 4,021, T. W* Garside (Liberal) 3,261.
