The guests mini-- , . bered 050, including' Lord Rending, Lord , Milner, Sir James Allen, High Commis-1 , sioner of New Zealand, Mr. Andrew; Fisher, High Commissioner of Australia, and Agents-General. i The Chief Rabbi paid that the tour would take eleven months. Ho realised that , the Jewish communities overseas' each had its own characteristics, but he | remarked, "Let the Jews of the five Dominions be as separate as five fingers, yet they should be ready to become a| mighty "arm in defence of Israel and for j the protection of Jews whenever they are attacked or traduced." Lord Milner urged that cultural and religious influences had an immense part in maintaining the Empire. Among; these influences Judaism played no small P£l Lord Reading, proposing "The Dominions," paid a stirring tribute to the deeds of the" Australian forces under General Monash. ~ Mr Andrew Fisher, responding, assured the Chief Rabbi that he would receive a. warm welcome from all Australians and New Zcalanders.— (A. and N.Z.
