PUKEMIRO DISPUTE.
THE OWNERS' -WITHDRAWAL. FEDERATION SECRETARY'S COMMENT. STOP-WORK MEETINGS NEXT WEEK. (By Telegraph.— Pjress Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a statement to-day Mr, Arbuckle, secretary of the Miners' Federation, states that before the owners' executive came to the decision to withdraw tue offer to refer tho Pukemiro dispute to the National Disputes Committee they were informed that the Pukemiro Union was bound to agree to the proposal. Tne federation or the union would not agree to Saturday's offer. Tiie owners were merely attempting to smash the federation by keeping disputes going and refusing to abide by the national agreement. Up accuses the owner* of withdrawing the ofl'er of referring the matter to the Disputes Committee as soon as they saw it would bo accepted. Stop-work meetings of all unions would bo lield next Wednesday tn •! -ule upon the future couree of action.
