In etroom—Trls. Slipway—Kaeo (schooner). Cabled advices state that the West Holbrook left Sydney yesterday for Auckland. The Niagara is expected to leave aura at 11 o'clock this evening. It Iβ advised that the Xavua left Dunedin at 5.30 p.m. last night. The Taluae left Papeete on September 28 for Makatea. On Tuesday next the Marama Is due to arrive nt Wellington. The Wanaka Is expected to arrive here at 4 o'clock this afternoon. It Is expected that the Otira will leave for Wellington next Wednesday. This morning the Hinemoa left for IlghtbouGes in the Haurakl Gulf. The Carpentaria left for Wellington this morning to continue discharge of her cargo from Montreal. Advices state that the Knnna loads at Weetport about Thursday next for Auckland. -'About October 8 the Matatua irlll- leave Wellington for Auckland, where she will complete loading for New York. "The Kaltuna is expected to arrive here on iMonday morning from Adelaide, with a cargo of phosphates. After discharging here the Walhemo loads for Suva, San Francisco, and Vancouver. She Is scheduled to leave here about Wednesday next. The Remuera left Southampton for New Zealand port's on September 30. She will be due at Wellington about November 16, end at Auckland about November 24. The Arahura Iβ expected to leave Glsborne at 0 o'clock this evening. She should nrrive here at the same hour to-morrow night. ■ The Rakanoa came down from Chelsea yesterday nKernoon, and berthed at Hobson ■wharf. She loads general cargo for Dunedin and Lyttelton, for which ports she leaves at 5 o'clock Monday night. COASTAL SERVICE CURTAILED. Owing to the coal shortage the Northern Company advise c number of curtailments in their coastal service. The NgapuM will only make two trips to Tauranga next ■week, leaving here on Tuesday and Friday. The Walmarle will run to Thames instead <of toe Wakatere, owing to her consuming less coal. The Tasman has been laid up, and in her place the auxiliary scow Tuhol will take cargo to Whakatane next Tuesday. The Claymore will not run to Whangaroa. Manganul, and Houhora. The Apanul will do this trip as Tvell as that to Awanui. No second boat -will leave for Town wharf, ■Whangarei, next week, the Kanierl being tb>, only boat that will be run. ' THB KENT BERTHS. '•- • This morning the Kent, which arrived fcere early yesterday morning from Llveripool, via Newport News and Panama, berthed at the King's wharf and oenimenccd discharge of the Auckland portion of her full general cargo. The vessel left Liverpool on August 18, and experienced fine weather crossing the Atlantic. Prom Panama rough weather was encountered, and nearlng New Zealand the vessel ran Into westerly and southerly gales, which considerably Impeded her progress. Despite (this feet she accomplished the trip from Home in about 42 days. Captain G F. iDeith la In command. After discharging ibere the Kent goes to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
