DISTRICT HEALTH REPORT.
MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. j The District Health report for the i month of September shows that 252 ' cases of infectious disease were reported, of which 77 were pneumonia and 5!) in- : fluenza-pneumonia. Of the 77 pneu- < inonia cases, 33 occurred in the city, 12 > ill the suburbs, and 32 in country dis- ■ tricts, while 16 inflnonza-pneumonia '• cases were reported in the city, nine in the suburbs, and 34 in the country dis- ' tricts. Scarlet fever figured prominently f among the other reports, with a total ] of 31 cases, all being in the city, 12 in the suburbs, and eight in the country districts. Next on the list is tuberculosis, totalling 20—13 in the city, <5 in the suburbs, and 10 in the country districts. Twenty-seven cases of diphtheria arc reported, with 7 in the city . and 20 in the country districts. In addition there were 10 cases of chickenpox, 1 in the city and !) in the country districts, 5 of enteric fever (the city and , suburbs each having 1 case, while 3 occurred in country districts), and 5 of erysipelas, city and suburbs having 2 ' ca«es each and country districts one. I Country districts also accounted for one ( case, of hydatid? and one of infantile f paralysis, while one case of lethargic | encephalitis occurred in the city," and one of unclassified septiaasnm in the l suburbs. Cerebro-spinal meningitis ac- f counted for 3 cases, 1 in the city and 2 in the nuburbs, while puerperal r.epti- i c.Tomia with 1 case in the city and 1 in ( the country districts made up the re- t maining two cases. /
