CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. Alexander Roderick Mcßae Williamson to-day pleaded not guilty to a c\&r<*r of manslaughter of Harry- Pritch.ird. and was committed for trial. The charge arose out of a fight in a foundry, details of which have already been published.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON INORTH. this day. In the Police Court to-day, Thomas Henry Davidson was charged that on September 6, -ay Valmerston North, he did commit manslaughter by causing the death of Robert Dudley Worsfold. Accused was remanded till October Ist on bail.
Worsfold died on September fi, following a-collision with a motor car. At the inquest the coroner returned a verdict, "That Worsfold died as the rer=u't.
|of shock caused by being run over by a motor car driven by T. 11. Davidson." The coroner said he could not altgether absolve Davidson from 'blame, but in view of the fact that further proceeding might be taken, lie would nnt comment • on the evidence.
