DELETERIOUS HONEY.
Mr. I. Hopkins requests, us to draw attention to the danger of eating honey taken from wild bee nests during the next two months. The "Wharangi" shrub is just now going out of blossom, and it is from this plant, the botanical name of which is Brachyglottis Repanda that deleterious honey is gathered in spring. There is no risk of eating honey of well-known brands at any time, as commercial beekeepers do not take their honey until near the end of December.
