SINN "FEIN FORCES. ANOTHER SQUAD CAPTURED. LONDON, September 20. An encounter with Sinn Kein volunteers occurred near Ennismoro, County Kerry. The authorities, learning that drilling was in progress, mobilised a fleet of motor lorries filled with troops. The Sinn Feiners, though outnumbered, decided to resist arrest. Forty were captured and placed in motor lorries. An armoured car assisted the military. One account states that the coup was effected by the police and an auxiliary corps consisting largely of ex-service men.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
