Under a strong demand, last wee&'a prices for beef were easily sustained, j and in some instances exceeded, at the I Westfleld fat stock sales to-day. Messrs. Buckland and Sons reported that their yarding of beef contained 341 head, comprising 260 steers, 74 cows and heifers, and seven bulls. There was a strong demand throughout, last week's I values being easily sustained and in some cases exceeded.
