MARTIAL LAW PROCLAIMED.

IN LORENZO MARQUES. TROOPS GUARDING RAILWAY. (Received 1-.30 p.m.) CAPETOWN, September 7. All men employed in the Government services in Lorenzo Marques, Portuguese East Africa, are on strike. Martial law has been proclaimed. The strike was caused through the arrest of three" leaders of the railwaymen, who issued a manifesto containing gross imputations against public bodies.
