In the course of an address in Timaru on Saturday Mr. W. D. Lysnar said that there was not more tftan 15/ worth of wool in the best suit of clothes on anybody's back in New Zealand to-day. Mr. Gerald Casey interjected: "Then there roust be a lot of robber? about-" (Laughter.) Mr. Lysnar: "I don't agree with that. There must be a lot of situplo people about, and if you are such simnletons ac to pay the prices now being I asked for suits, I say that you deserve to suffer." (Hear, hear.) The troublesome question of the cost of living does not altogether rest with the individual, but there are many ways he or she can combat rising costs.
