The fortnightly mefthiß of .the Northcote Horoußh Council was held last night. The Mayor (Mr. A. E. <ir.?euslade) presided. Condolence.—A motion expressing symDathy with Councillor E. A.' Eyre was passed in connection with the dea-tii of Ws father fMr. Robt. D, Kvre). of Takapuna. and of bis brother (Mr. Sydnpy S. Eyre), tile victim of the I'ukekawa tragedy. Monthly Meetings. —On the motion of Councillor Touur. it was resolved to meet on the first Tuesday in ea-ch month in future, instead of fortulfrhtly. Kauri (Snllv Reserve.--Councillor Tonnr. one of the Northrote representatives on the Kauri Gully Sv-enlo Board, stated that I improvements required were Iwmpered for the want of funds. It wus resolved to request Mr. A. Harris. M.T., to endeavour to olitnin a Government Rrant for the purpose. t ===== J
