A Mesopotamia communique reports: "In the Hillah area, 60 miles south of Bagdad, the Thirty-fourth Brigade column conducted punitive measures. In several localities north of Bagdad the country ie becoming more disturbed. Samara, 80 miles north of Bagdad, is reported to be invested. North-east of Bagdad, the garrison, of Tuz Khennutli has been relieved. A small column drove off the enemy, killing thirty. Bakubah station and town, which were sacked by the insurgents, were retaken on Saturday. In North-west Persia the Persian Cossacks are refitting at ilonjil. The "Beds" did not pivreue them. Our reconnaissance reports no enemy, within 20 miles of -MonjiL— -(R/euter.}
