MOTORCAR TAX.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, Monday. A largely-attended and representative meeting of the South Island Motor Union was held here to-night. Included in the business was a unanimous decision that the motor tax should be ou tyres, without any rebates, and t'h-at legislation should be passed without delay for licensing motor services The frequency of motor accidents -was deplored, and :t was considered that the licensing of drivers would help to check these.
