Both teams were playing very hard, but the defence kept the play round mldfleld. though occasional Scott was a tower of strength for bis side. and was continually keeping his forwards on the move. From a tine piece of work by Xorthcote halves Burford made a fine line run. but lacked finish. Falrgray then received and took the ball up the field, but on Infringement on the part of a Shore player spoilt what might have been a fine goal. When the whistle went for half-time Shore were still pressing, with the score: North Shore 1. Xorthcote 0.
