SIR L. S. JAMESON'S FUNERAL.
(Received 11.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, May 24. The interment of Sir L. S._ Jameson's remains alongside those of Cecil Jthodes, on Matoppo Hills, was most striking and impressive. The coffin lay all night in the open glow of a camp fire, guarded by a single sentry. The proce'asion. up the mountain, preceded by "clergy and choir, was a picturesque ceremony. There Was a great gathering at the graveside, including 150 chiefs and headmen. General Smuts paid a tribute to the dead man's great services to South Africa as one of the founders of the Union.— (A. m<l Jh.Z. Cable.) ; •
