The Conciliation Commissioner, Ifo jP. Hally, was engaged on Saturday tt j a sitting of the council to hear a disput* , between tlie Auckland Plumbers* Union lof Workers and the master plumberi. j The assessors for the union were Maura J. Clark, H. J. Wykes, and C. H. <Jrif. fiths. while for the employers, Mum. F. V. Hoffman. W. S. Fisher and A. V. Swales were the assessors. Mr."g, __.' Wright was advocate for the employer! and Mr. Clark, ■who is secretary of t_» men's union, acted in the dual capacity of assessor and advocate. Satisfactory progress was reported. COOKS A>T> STEWARDS. Tiie Conciliation Council was occupied to-day with a dispute filed by the Cooks and Stewards* Union. Mr. iP. Halrr, Commissioner, presided. The asiMSori for the union were Messrs." E. Kennedy i (of Wellington), J. Pymaa and J. Brow*, with the secretary, Mr. Lees, as advocate. The employers were represented -;by Captain R . C. Hammond, Captaia G. H. Seller and Mr. W. F. with Mr. S. E. Wright as advocate.
