OBITUARY.

-JR. ROBERT HALL.

A very old resident of Auckland, Jlr. Robert Hall, of One-tree Hill, has died at the advanced age of 88 years. Deceased was born in Ulster/ Ireland, in 1832, and arrived at Auckland in the ship Ebora as far back as 1842. He carried on farming in Auckland province for over 52 years. Mr. Hall took considerable interest all his life in local affairs. He served for over 21 years on the One-tree Hill Road Board, being chairman for 14 years. He was also a member of the One-tree Hill Domain Board, sat on the Licensing Bench for Manukau at one time, was a trustee of Auckland Savings Bank, and also of the Dilworth Estate Trust. Deceased is survived by eight children. Interment will be private.
