Senator Thomas, a Democrat, in a speech in the Senate, declared that the Democratic party would face defeat and dissolution if it adopted President Wil'sohss stand in the ratification of the treaty .unchanged, Senator Hitchcock ridiculed the Repdblican's attempt to secure adoption 6f the Rnox peace resolution, fth_ said the Republicans Were butting against a Wall, since they knew the resolution would be immediately vetoed.—(A. and NX Cable.)
