THE ECONOMIC VALUE. IXJXDON, May , 12. In the House of Commons, Sir K. S. HorruvPresident of the Board of Trade, stated' that the Government thought that the removal or the control over the die-, tribntipn 9/ coal as soon as possible wa« essential, but it would only be | possible if the artificial differentiation in . the prices of industrial and household coal teas removed. The Government had; decided that both must be sold at a price to cover the cost of production, and the standard profits allowed by the Emergency Act. Therefore, the maximum prices of industrial coal- and household coal would be increased by 4/2 and 14/2 a ton respectively, from May 12.—(£. A.)
