SHOCKING ACCIDENT.

(Bγ Telegraph.—Press , Association.) DANNEVIRKE, Tuesday. A shocking accident occurred at the Dannevirke Woodware Company's factory ttMay. Mr. William j am 4 Wise . man was adjusting a belt in the boxmaking room when his clothes became entangled in the belting, and he was earned up to the overhead shaft, close to the ceiling, and whirled round and round. The driving belt came off the •topping shaft, round which the unfortunate man was wound. The shafting lj«d to be reversed one and a-hatt times before his body could be released. Hie clothing was by this time stripped to the Wawt, and !he wae.in a very critical condition when removed to tie Danneyirke hospital. The extent of his injuries has not yet been ascertained.
