SINN FEIN ACTIVITIES.
BIG X.AND FIGHT PLANNED. TERRORISING TEE LANDLORD. LONDON, May 3. The Dublin correspondent of the "Times" depicts an alarming growth of land agitation in the West of Ireland. In County Clare, the date of the renewal of grazing agreements was marked by lawlessness, cattle driving, and the terrorisation of landlords by nocturnal fires, shootings, and the destruction of fences. Warning graves were dug in gardens, and attempts were made to compel the surrender of land. Other landlords are protected by military, who are camping on their lands. Large and small landlords are equally suffering. It is openly boasted that the coming land fight will be the biggest ever seen in Ireland. The problem is intensified by the large number of young agriculturists who axe unable to emigrate and cannot find an outlet for their energies.— ("Times.") Sinn Feiners tried the six men implicated in a bank robbery whom they kidnapped in the village of MillstreeK They sentenced them to deportation. It is reported that the Sinn Feiners intend to execute the sentence. They are not disclosing the seaport from which the men will be embarked.—(A. and N.Z.) Irish Nationalist members of the House of Commons lave issued a statement intimating their intention"to withdraw from future debate on the Home Rule Bill, as it denies every right to the Irish people and is an attempt to break up an ancient nation. —(United Service.)
