A representative meeting of the Transport Workers' Advisory Board nvae held to-cfay, when the following motion was carried: — "That this meeting endorsee the action of the Amalgamated Society of Rail-way Servants in their division to join issues with the Engine.drivere, Firemen, and Cleaners' Association in their demand for economic justice, and, further, we assure the railwaynien of 'both societies and others implicated or involved, that they will have the utmost support of the affiliated transport -workers' organisations, namely th« waterside workers, seamen, drivers, and tramwaymen of New Zealand, and that, the support of the above' associations ie at the disposal of the railwayincn should they require

At tlii- annual meeting of the Canterbury Drivers' Union the following resolution was carried unanimously: —'"That Ihis union endorse the claims of the railway societies for equitable terras in the matter of wages and working conditions. It deplores the procrastination of ihe (iovernmont, which has led to the present crisis, and calls upon the Prime .Minister to immediately take such steps as will induce the men to resume work, and thus prevent the trouble developing into what promises to lie the. most serious strike in the history nf the. Dominion."
