STUDY OF HISTORY.
LONDON UNIVERITY'S APPEAL. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 29. London University is appealing for £20,000 to found a centre for advanced historical studies. Lord Uoscbery and the Lord Mayor of London are supporting the appeal. They state that immense stores of material, covering the history of Britain and the Dominions, lie unused in the British Museum and Records Office.— (-Times.")
