A FINANCIAL SUCCESS. XO CAI/Jj OX GUARANTORS. (By Telegraph.—Speelal to "Star.") DUNEDIK, Wednesday. The 'New South Walee Stat© Orchestra, gave its final concert in Dunedin to-night, and played grandly from 'first to last. "Magnificent readings were given of Liszt's ''Lee Preludes" and X>ror*k J e symphony from "The tNew World," and Mies Jenny Cirllcn was ovated after her finished performance of Saint Sacns , concerto for violin and orchestra. These three works are to be included in the Auckland programme. Tuesda3"'s concert concluded the series co far as the guaranteed concerts are concerned. The total takings of the tour of 31 concerts anronnted to £11,875 6/. Six concerts in Auckland, £2,646 1/6; six in Wellington, £2,480 6/6; Christchureh, four concerts, £2,068 15/; Dunedin, three concerts, £1,078 7/6. The receipts for Tuesday's concert totalled .€'453 16/. The largest of the eingle takings was for the
'Messiah*'-, at Auckland, £780, and the largest orchestra takings in Christchurch, £600. The average per concert for the Dominion was £383. On Thursday the orchestra leave for Wellington. There will be no need to call on the guarantors.
