IN THE INFLUENZA HCrTJBES; SEVERE TYTE RAKE There was a- big drop in the, junnbtr of influenza cases reported to the Health Department up to noon to-<lay, tho total being 22, as compared with 40 or 45, the previous average. Another very satisfactory feature of the case is that only three wore reported as being "severe." Fourteen mild cases and one severe case came from Auckland Cityj three mild and two Bevere from, the suburbs, and ore case each from Henderson and Te Kuiti, mild in both instances. Althongh the figures are satisfactory, the public should not relax any of the precautions that have been advised. The Department Ins given permission for the schools to re-open at any time on or after the. 19th inst, and the primary schools will resume on Mon&iy, the 23rd. Some of the secondary schools open the. following day.
