CYCLIST INJURED.

ACCIDENT AT EPSOM.

The third serious motor accident within the last few weeks is reported from Epsom. This time, the collision was cyclist, at the junction of the Great Southland Manukau roads.

It is stated that a car, a five-eeater, driven by Miss Fitzpatrick, of Epsom, was passing along the Great South Road,

as if it had come from Onehunga, and cut the corner on the wrong side, close to Roscoe's grocery store, smashing into the cyclist, Mr. Wattam, a married man, residing at Tawera Road, Renruera, and knocking him to the ground.

Mr. \Vattam was found to be in a serious way and was taken to the hospital, where he has been attended by Dr. Cawkwell, of Eemuera.

From a critical condition he is reported to be improving. His injuries affect the head, shoulder, and hand.
