ABATTOIR HANDS' WAGES.
m —. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CBiRISTCHXTRCH, Monday. The trouble between the slaughtermen at the abattoir and the City Council was adjusted amicably at a conference of representatives of the parties concerned this afternoon. It was agreed that the wage 3of the men should be increased from £4 to £4 10/ a week the agreement to remain in force foi two yeans. The increase is to operate immediately.
